The Cryptic Music Quiz - use your musical knowledge and intuition to match the image to the clue.
We made some clues pretty tough and we learnt a lot about songs and artists in the process.
For example one clue is “To twice sing of this place”. So To twice is ToTo – Toto sang “Africa” in 1982 – so match that clue to the image of Africa – easy.
We’ll give you another one, “Van Halen and the Pointer Sisters” is the clue. What could be the link between these seemingly diverse groups? The answer is they both had a hit called “Jump” – so match the jumping man to the clue – simple.
We enjoyed putting this game together, it made us listen to some of the classic tracks we had included from artists such as The Jacksons, Simon and Garfunkel, Don McLean, Elton John, John Denver, Neil Diamond, Diana Ross and The Supremes, Lionel Richie and the Communards, Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder plus all the others featured here.
Play the quiz against the clock, we have deliberately included songs from the 1950’s to the present day so your musical knowledge will have to be far and wide.
If you get stuck on a clue and just cannot work out an answer they are available on our website:
